Starting therapy can feel intimidating. Many people worry their problems aren’t “serious enough,” feel they should have everything figured out before reaching out, or have had experiences where therapy felt overly clinical or scripted.
I believe therapy can be different. My approach is conversational, collaborative, and authentic. You don’t need the perfect words to explain what’s going on, and you don’t need to justify why you deserve support. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck, we’ll work together to better understand what you’re experiencing and develop practical tools to help.
Using evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, my goal is to help you regain a sense of control, build confidence in navigating life’s challenges, and create lasting change so things feel more manageable over time.
Alex is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University.
Alex has years of experience working with children, youth, families, and adults in both community and hospital settings, including at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s Regional Children’s Centre and Windsor Regional Hospital. He has supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, crisis situations, and acute mental health concerns. These experiences have shaped his flexible, down-to-earth approach, focused on meeting clients where they are and tailoring support to their unique needs.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. I often hear from clients that they’re unsure if it will help, or they feel like they need to be ten steps ahead of where they are now. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or simply feeling stuck, it can be hard to see a way forward on your own.
I take a down-to-earth, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to therapy. Using evidence-based practices, I work collaboratively with each client to understand their unique experiences, needs, and goals. No two people are the same, and your therapy shouldn’t be either. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, welcoming, and comfortable. I value honesty, warmth, and the power of the therapeutic relationship. Clients describe my style as easygoing and straightforward, which helps them feel at ease while making real progress. Together, we’ll work toward improving your daily life, relationships, and overall sense of well-being.
